About MOST Graph (tentative)
Speaker: Dr. Hajime Kurosawa
Professor, Department of Occupational Health, Tohoku University School of Medicine
Dr. Hajime Kurosawa is the developer of the MOST Graph. Unlike conventional pulmonary function tests that require forced breathing maneuvers, the MOST Graph is performed during quiet, resting breathing. This reduces measurement errors and provides high reproducibility. Specifically, the test evaluates airway pressure and lung compliance. The results are displayed as a color-coded graphical representation, allowing clinicians to visually distinguish between bronchial asthma and pulmonary emphysema. In addition, early abnormalities that are difficult to detect on chest X-rays or CT scans can be more readily identified.
